What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy uses Hypnosis in a therapeutic setting to help create positive changes in thoughts, behaviours and emotions.

What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a state of focused attention and heightened suggestibility, often achieved through relaxation. Contrary to myth, it’s not mind control or sleep, and you remain fully aware and in control. Anyone can be hypnotised, as it taps into imagination and belief.

What is Hypno-CBT?

Hypno-CBT combines Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy with Hypnosis and Mindfulness. It helps break negative patterns of thinking and behaviour whilst reinforcing positive changes through hypnosis, often leading to quicker results.

How Can It Help Me?

Hypno-CBT is an effective, time-limited therapy for managing stress, anxiety and worry. It helps you develop new coping skills and align your life with your values and goals. You remain fully in control and we work together to explore thoughts, feelings and behaviours that may be holding you back.

Is Hypnosis Effective?

Yes, research supports the use of Hypnosis in reducing stress and anxiety, especially when combined with CBT. It’s recognised as a valid complementary therapy by the Department of Health.

Note: Hypnotherapy is not recommended for certain conditions like psychosis, epilepsy, severe depression and uncontrolled panic attacks.
